Dolphin Spotting
There are several tour operators providing dolphin spotting 1-day tours. Most departure from Leonsberg, which is only a 5 minute drive from our location. The dolphins are spotted in the area where the Suriname and Commewijne rivers merge so from Leonsberg you are transported to the spotting location in a tent boat. Most tours are until in the late afternoon and at that time of day the tours are complemented with a beautiful sunset.

Palmentuin & Waka Pasi
Palmentuin is a palm tree landscape garden in Paramaribo, Suriname. In addition to tall royal palms, the grounds are home to tropical birds and a "troop" of capuchin monkeys. Palmentuin is located on Van Roseveltkade behind the Presidential Palace of Suriname. The latest additoon to palmentuin is Waka Pasi, which litteraly means walking road. This is a series of small craft and food stands just behind palmentuin. All of this is within a 3 minute drive, with in the direct vicinity a lot of restaurants, casinos, clubs and bars, the "entertainment center" of Suriname.
Centrum
Paramaribo Centrum is declared a World Heritage Site since 2002. Characteristic are the colonial style wooden buildings. Most noticeable, as seen on this picture, is the second biggest wooden structure in the Western Hemisphere, the Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral. A visit to Paramaribo Centrum would only take you a few minutes driving from your Perfect Stay apartment.
Nature Tours
Did you know that Suriname is for 93% covered in forest? That is the highest percentage of the world! There are a lot of tours for both eco-nature and luxury-nature enthusiasts. The options are very broad, and most of the organized tours depart from the hotels close-by or Paramaribo Centrum. Of course you can also drive yourself, for some of the places reachable by car.
Nightlife
The "entertainment center" is just a few minutes driving away and that area happens to be the nightlife of Paramaribo. Enough bars and clubs to enjoy your evening or nights!
